Experienced learning consultant, Keef Feeley, came to Calm with an interesting proposition: to distill the essence of what he is about into a brand that could underpin his business.

The vision is for adolescents, parents and people working with children and young people to be able to access the information that Keef has spent his lifetime researching to “help everyone learn to succeed”.  Keef has developed a formula – the 8 skills we need to succeed – that helps young people, parents, teachers and others understand why life poses new challenges that young people may find difficult to cope with, but critically also gives them new tools to be able to cope more effectively.

Our brief was to merge Keef’s love of classic comic strip characters with his hero, Socrates. We created a superhero for Keef Himself which we named Socrates Feeley. This is positions Keef as someone who can be trusted to deliver the right kind of information to his target audience – the good guy.

Alongside this we came up with a logo again based on classic comic strip style. The strapline really sums up what the philosophy aims to achieve.
