A leading North East digital agency has landed a lucrative contract with a Los Angeles based risk management firm to develop innovative software to protect high net worth families and individuals.

Teesside-based Calm Digital has secured the deal with Erimus Risk International to design and develop a state-of-the-art system to help protect the firm's entertainment and high net worth clients.

Erimus Risk, which is a boutique provider of specialised risk and crisis management services, was established by Teesside born Glen Burton, who moved to America in 2001 with the ambition of establishing the business.

Mr Burton has worked with numerous high profile individuals such as Madonna, Nicholas Cage, Will Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Heidi Klum, as well as Microsoft's Bill Gates, Google Founder Larry Page and a number of private family's worldwide.

The web and development company, which is based in the award winning Boho One in Middlesbrough, will create a software that will enable the firm to provide a 24/7 security update for any location. Mr Burton established the risk management firm - which also has offices/locations in New York, London and Sao Paulo - after serving in the military for more than 10 years. The founder and principal of the firm has personally worked in more than 75 countries around the world.

The company's executive team has a wealth of experience that includes working with UK and US Special Forces, security intelligence agencies, as-well as the offices of Presidents and Prime Minister's, top tier management consulting firms, investment banks and leading technology companies.
